Cookie Policy

Version 1.0 — Effective September 10, 2026

Version 1.0, in review. These terms are complete but not yet final. If they change, we will post the new version here and tell you before it takes effect.

1. The short version

Legado sets three cookies. All three are needed for the app to work or are there because you asked for them. None of them advertise, profile you, build a picture of your interests, or follow you to any other website.

That is why you have not seen a cookie banner here. A banner exists to collect consent for tracking, and there is no tracking to consent to. If that ever changes we will ask you first, and this page will say so before it does.

2. What each one is for

Your sign-in session. Set when you sign in and read on every page so the app knows it is still you. Without it you would be signed out on every click. Cleared when you sign out. Set by our sign-in provider, Supabase.

Your reading preferences. Holds the text size and the light-or-dark setting you picked, nothing else. It exists so the first frame of a page is already the size and colour you chose rather than flickering into it a moment later. Lasts a year, and you can change what it holds any time in Settings.

A short-lived sign-in check. Used for a few seconds while a sign-in code is verified, then discarded.

3. What we do not set

No advertising cookies. No analytics or measurement cookies. No session-replay or heatmap tools. No A/B testing service. No social media pixels. No third-party tracker of any kind. We do not fingerprint your device, and we have never sold personal information or shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Controlling them

Your browser can block or delete cookies for any site, including this one. Blocking the sign-in cookie will stop you being able to stay signed in; blocking the preference cookie means the app forgets your text size and theme between visits. Nothing else breaks.

Clearing your browser's site data for Legado removes all three.
